THE NEED: We must go!
We must compel them to come!
Multiplied millions of people are wandering like lost sheep towards a
Christ-less eternity. Multitudes have never had a chance to hear a clear
presentation of the Gospel. In many
places there are no evangelical churches and where there is an evangelical
church, most of these people will never enter it. There has never been a greater need to reach
these lost multitudes, and there has never been a greater opportunity to evangelize.
SOLUTION: Frontline evangelists – men and women with a passion to take the Gospel to their people. The solution is the same, yesterday, today and until He comes.
Go! Persuade! Compel!
God is calling all of us to the work of evangelism, but God is still calling some to be frontline evangelists, to publicly proclaim His message of salvation through Jesus Christ to the lost. These men and women need Bible School education, training in specialized methods of evangelism, the necessary equipment, and support to cover their ministry needs.
THE SOLUTION OF OPEN AIR CAMPAIGNERS (OAC): Our national evangelists called by God have Bible College education, and have been trained in our frontline methods of evangelism. They do not need high support, visas, cultural orientation, or furloughs, and cannot be deported. They do however need ministry vehicles, equipment and operational expenses. OAC is serving in the developing countries of India, Africa, Russia, Ukraine, South America and the Caribbean. Each of our OAC National Branches has a National Board of Directors, and is registered with the government. Until national churches are able to give, or have the vision to give, the support must come from Christians abroad.
THE OUTCOME OAC evangelists are reaching an average over 1000 people every day of the year in remote villages, neighborhoods, public schools, city plazas, military bases, police academies, etc. Up to 100 poor women are being trained to certificate level in our India Sewing Schools each year. People of all ages are hearing a clear presentation of the gospel in their own language. Many are responding to Christ. Churches are constantly calling our national evangelists to do open air outreaches. Wherever possible follow-up is being done by pastors, and churches are being planted where none existed. Persecution is sometimes faced, but our evangelists are totally committed. We believe that in God’s will we are immortal until He calls us home. “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”
Compelled by His love,
OAC – Overseas Ministries Director
